Monumental Kennels believes in the true blue blooded multipurpose working boerboel. Our boerboels are the ones that you read about in the history of the boerboel breed, that were bred to guard and protect the family (especially children) from the wild animals and ravages of Africa.
Our boerboels must be big, strong, athletic, muscularly built, fearless, and brave, with a strong prey and defense drive. We believe these qualities make up the character of the breed, making the boerboel a confident and self assured guardian and protector. Our boerboel is ferocious when called upon to defend, but yet gentle, calm and a playful companion too its family. They must possess a balanced and stable temperament that follows a well balanced physique.
Monumental`s distinctive breeding program is what we have been specializing in since 1998, bringing a look and character that one can say, now that is a true boerboel!
